Poker is a card game in which players place bets on their hands. It involves a large element of chance, but the majority of a player’s decisions are based on probability, psychology, and game theory. This makes it a challenging game for newcomers to learn.<\/p>\n
A typical deck of 52 cards plus one joker are used. Typically, the game begins with an initial forced bet (ante or blind bet), and after that, the players are dealt cards which they then put into a central pot.
